Every once in a while you run into folks who really care about helping someone else. They are not self centered, but give thanks for all the blessings God has bestowed on them, and have room in their heart to assist someone who is in need.
This Spring (2007) we played a Wedding. It was a special day for a bride, groom and their families. After dinner, the bride’s mom approached us and asked for the microphone. We figured she was going to thank her guests for coming to the celebration. Instead, she told her guests about a little girl, and her family that needs some help. During her plea she expressed how fortunate she and her family were, and that she felt compelled to help this family. All on a day when most folks would only care about themselves, and their own family. What a great woman, mom, and grandmother!
Every once in a while you run into someone great……God Bless You...You know who you are!
Grace has a life threatening disease (Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa). Life expectancy is twenty years. The disease causes severe blistering internally and externally. Daily wound care, which takes about two hours, with four caregivers is required. There is no cure. There is a lack of research. There is a lack of knowledge concerning the disease, and at this time there is very little hope.
Grace need your prayers…..Isn’t she a beautiful little girl?
